Found Poem: Twins of Macha

Ulaid held a fair and all went
Men and women, sons and daughters
The fair was held

Nothing it as fast as the horses
My wife is that fast
News was taken to his wife

He was taken to the king
A great misfortune I am with child
He will die if you do not come

She went to the fair
Labor pains seized her
Wait until my children are born

My name will this fairground
She raced the chariot
She gave birth in front of it

She bore a son and daughter
At her delivery she screamed
Any man who heard would suffer

All at Ulaid were so afflicted
Their descendants suffered
Ulaid was as weak as a woman in labor

Three classes of people did not suffer
The women and the children
This is the inheritance of Ulaid
